As we all know, many people nowadays, especially teenagers, not are aware about some uncommon words in Filipino, it is because of the technologies and stuff we’ve grown up

Alimusom (Scent)

Meaning: A dinstinctive smell especially one that is pleasant.

Example: Tila dumikit sa aking damit ang kanyang alimusom.

Kabtal (Switch)

Meaning: Change the position, direction or focus of.

Example: Pinagkabtal ni Aubrey ang kaniyang marka upang mas tumaas siya kay Allaesa.

Tabak (Sword)

Meaning: Weapon with a long metal blade:

Example: Tabak ang ginamit ng mga mandirigma noong unang panahon.

Sambat (Fork)

Meaning: An implement with two or more prongs used for lifting food to the mouth.

Example: Si KV ay hindi sanay kumain na wlang sambat.

Paminggalan ( Kitchen)

Meaning: A room where food is kept, prepared and cooked and where the dishes are washed.

Example: Sa paminggalan ako nagluto ng ulam.

Anakula (Captain)

Meaning: A person who is in charge of a ship.

Example: Ang pinsan ko ang anakula ng barkong iyon.

Batalan ( Comfort Room)

Meaning: A room that is equipped with washing and toilet facilities.

Example: Pumasok si Filrich sa batalan.

Salipawpaw (Airplane)

Meaning: Machine that has wings and an engine.

Example: Sumakay kami ng salipawpaw papuntang Baguio.

Sipnayan (Mathematics)

Meaning: The science of numbers and their operations.

Example: Nahihirapan ako sa sipnayan.

Anluwage (Carpenter)

Meaning: A person who repairs objects and structure.

Example: Ang gumawa ng bahay ni Shane ay ang anluwage.
